Peter Owen
Peter worked for ICI for over 20 years in various plant and supervisory roles. He spent five years as a Commissioning Manager, three years as a technical manager, eventually becoming a Health, Safety & Environment Officer for the company. His career developed and he became HSE Manager for Ineos-Chlor (formally ICI Chemicals & Polymers), until he left to join Jacobs Bakery (part of United Biscuits) as Environment, Health and Safety Manager. Employing the skills and knowledge he had acquired throughout his career, Peter joined Lattitude in 2006 as a consultant and trainer.
Peter is an enthusiastic Safety, Health and Environment professional. He has a passion for Safety and is extremely tenacious when it comes to preventing harm to people and maintaining Safety, Health and Environmental standards. He enjoys working with people at all levels of an organisation, has ‘shop floor credibility’ as well as interacting with Senior Managers.
In his current role he has worked with major clients such as Centrica, Novartis Vaccines, Bakkavor and Johnson Controls. His work with Johnson Controls has taken him to Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He has considerable experience in ‘Train the Trainer’ programs as well as delivering all aspects of our behavioural safety and culture change programs.
Peter has an Occupational Health & Safety diploma from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
